(ANSA) - ROME, APR 1 - Senate Speaker Ignazio La Russa should
resign after criticising the WWII Partisan attack that spurred
the Ardeatine Caves reprisal massacre, the head of Italy's
Partisans group ANPI said Saturday.
"Ignazio La Russa should have the conscience to resign as
President of the Senate after his words on Via Rasella (the
Partisan attack that killed 33 SS soldiers) because he is
clearly inadequate for the role he holds'," said ANPI President
Gianfranco Pagliarulo responding to Radio Popolare's question on
the possible request for his resignation by the National
Association of Italian Partisans.
