(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 6 - Former Forza Italia (FI) senator
Marcello dell'Utri said on Thursday he had done nothing by cry
since learning that the late ex premier and media mogul Silvio
Berlusconi had left him 30 million euro in his will.
"I have done nothing but cry since this morning: not so much
because of the material gesture but because it shows the
greatness of the man," said Dell'Utri of the Berlusconi, adding
that when the notary called him he had been "shocked" by the
news.
"I didn't expect it because he didn't owe me anything. I gave
everything for him and he and gave everything for me," continued
the former senator, adding that the founder and only leader of
Forza Italia "was like a brother to me".
"We knew each other for over 60 years. He always helped me. Even
at university he used to give me his notes," said Dell'Utri, who
served four years in jail and another under house arrest for a
conviction for mafia association. (ANSA).
