(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 14 - Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi
and European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson on
Thursday agreed on the need to develop "a new European
operational strategy against human traffickers" during a
telephone conversation on Thursday.
I also highlighted to the Commissioner the need to strengthen
repatriations from Tunisia to the countries of origin,' said
Piantedosi.
This and other issues are reportedly to be addressed during a
bilateral meeting to be set up in Brussels as soon as possible.
