(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 28 - Premier Giorgia Meloni's
twice-postponed end-of-year press conference is now set to be
held on January 4, her aides said on Thursday.
The press conference, which will be held "at 11am, in agreement
with the Order of Journalists", had initially been scheduled
before Christmas and then postponed to December 28 for health
reasons.
On Wednesday Meloni's office postponed the presser for a second
time allegedly due to a resurgence of flu.
On Thursday her aides said she has been suffering from an
"otolith issue" that has forced her to remain "in bed and in the
dark" for almost two days.
On Wednesday evening Meloni reportedly received a home visit
from an ear specialist who performed "the manoeuvre" to resolve
the problem.
Her aides said the premier is "already improving" and that with
a "cervical collar she has been able to get up and talk on the
phone". (ANSA).
