(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 13 - Defence Minister Guido Crosetto was
admitted to hospital overnight after suffering chest pains,
sources said on Tuesday.
Hospital sources said the cause of the pains, which reportedly
started early on Monday, is not yet known, although it could be
a case of pericarditis, an inflammation of the pericardium, the
fibrous sac surrounding the heart.
Crosetto went to the emergency room of the San Carlo di Nancy
hospital on his own stream, entering on foot, the sources said.
The minister, a senior member of Premier Giorgia Meloni's
right-wing Brothers of Italy (FdI) party, immediately had a
coronarography and is being monitored, according to the sources.
