(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 23 - Deputy Premier and Transport Minister
Matteo Salvini called French President Emmanuel Macron a
"warmonger" on Saturday during a Rome convention of Identity
and Democracy (ID) group that his League party belongs to at the
European level.
"With his words Macron with is a danger for our country and for
this continent," Salvini told the 'Winds of Change' convention.
"I don't want to leave a continent ready to enter World War III
to my children".
Salvini also spoke about this year's presidential elections in
the United States.
"The years the Republicans were in government always coincided
with years of peace," he said.
"I hope that Americans will to back to choosing peace." (ANSA).
