(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 26 - Premier Giorgia Meloni's right-wing
Brothers of Italy (FdI) remains the leading party in Italy with
27% of support according to the results of the latest Swg
opinion poll released on Tuesday.
This represents an increase of 0.2 percentage points over the
results of the last survey published on March 18.
Support for the centre-left opposition Democratic Party (PD) led
by Elly Schlein also grew slightly, by 0.1 percentage points, to
reach 19.9%.
Next came the populist opposition Five Star Movement (M5S) led
by former premier Giuseppe Conte at 15.6%, up 0.3 percentage
points over last week.
The minor government coalition partners League led by Deputy
Premier and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini and Forza Italia
led by Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani
brought up the rear respectively with 8.3% (up by 0.3 percentage
points) and 7.7% (down by 0.1 percentage points).
The survey was carried out between March 20 and 25 on a
nationally representative sample of 1,200 adults. (ANSA).
