(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 16 - The Euroskeptic, anti-migrant and
rightwing ruling League party wants the EU flag removed from
public buildings in Italy.
"I have delivered to the parliamentary offices a bill for the
repeal of the law that introduced the obligation to display the
European Union flag outside and inside public buildings", League
Senator Claudio Borghi, a candidate at the European elections,
said on X Thursday.
"The Italian flag is the only one possible: the Tricolour,
flanked when possible by the flag of the Region", said the
League hardliner. (ANSA).
