(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 27 - The ruling rightwing League party has
tabled an amendment to the government's Security Decree calling
for Islamic rites inside cultural centres to be celebrated in
Italian.
According to the League, this would help prevent religious
propaganda and radicalisation and therefore possible terror
attacks.
The opposition Green-Left Alliance (AVS) said "It sounds like a
joke", adding "they no longer know what to invent to foment
divisions and hatred in our society". (ANSA).
