(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 10 - The turnout for the European
elections in Italy was 49.69%, according to definitive data
released by the interior ministry early on Monday.
It means that, for the first time in an EU election, less than
half of the Italian electorate exercised their right to vote.
The turnout in Italy in the 2019 European election was 54.5%.
