(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 22 - Italian Deputy Premier and Foreign
Minister Antonio Tajani has said that Italy will work well with
"whoever will be the next president" of the United States after
US President Jos Biden on Sunday announced he was withdrawing
from the 2024 presidential race.
"We have to look with great serenity at the United States, a
country (that is) a great friend", said Tajani.
"We will work well with whoever will be the next president, both
(Donald) Trump and (Kamala)Harris".
"We are still working well with the Biden administration" and
"we had worked well with Trump's", the foreign minister told
State broadcaster RAI's Tg1 on Sunday night, commenting Biden's
announced withdrawal from the race.
Biden has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the
Democratic nominee. (ANSA).
