Meloni marks anniversary of Sept 11 terror attacks

(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 11 - Premier Giorgia Meloni on Wednesday marked the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks with a post on social media.
    "There are days that will remain forever engraved in our minds," Meloni said.
    "Events that forever change the course of history and, with it, the lives of many citizens.
    "September 11, 2001 was one such date. A devastating terrorist attack that struck at the heart of the United States of America and the entire West.
    "23 years on, our thoughts go out to the thousands of innocent victims and their families.
    "In their memory, our commitment to the fight against Islamic fundamentalism and all forms of terrorism continues, in defense of the values ;;of freedom and democracy, pillars of our Constitution and our culture.
