(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 22 - Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister and
Forza Italia leader Antonio Tajani on Sunday reiterated his
opposition to the hypothesis of introducing a tax on banks'
surplus profits.
"Forza Italia is against any tax on surplus profits," Tajani
said via X.
"It would harm the banks and create uncertainty in the markets
to the detriment of Italy.
"A working group should be set up with the banks to agree on
solutions for the public accounts" (ANSA).
