(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 30 - The rightwing League party said
Wednesday unions who have called a general strike November 29
against the 2025 budget bill were "ridiculous" because they were
in fact protesting against a measure that actually allegedly
increases workers' incomes.
"Two far left Italian unions are striking against the salary
increase for 14 million employees up to 40,000 euros of income.
Ridiculous, " said the League on the CGIL and UIL trade union
federations' strike call.
"Thanks instead to those (other) workers' representatives who,
although sometimes critical in the interests of their members,
make proposals and not just protests".
