(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 27 - After splitting on a cut to Rai state
broadcaster's license fee early Wednesday, the government split
for a second time on an amendment concerning healthcare in
Calabria.
The majority was again divided in the Senate Budget Committee on
the amendment to the tax decree proposed by Forza Italia (FI)
senator and Lazio soccer club boss Claudio Lotito on healthcare
in the southern region.
The right-wing League party abstained while Premier Giorgia
Meloni's right-wing Brothers of Italy (FdI) and FI were in
favor: the votes in favour were therefore lacking to pass the
proposed amendment. The government had deferred to the
committee. (ANSA).
