(ANSA) - MADRID, FEB 8 - Deputy Premier and Transport
Minister Matteo Salvini said Saturday that United States
President Donald Trump has shown the way to go during a meeting
in Madrid of the new, right-wing Patriots for Europe group that
his League party belongs to at the EU level.
"Trump has shown us that a new world is possible," Salvini told
the event, held under the slogan 'Make Europe Great Again'.
"It is not the EU that legitimizes the States but the States
that legitimize Europe, which otherwise would not exist.
"The burqa is not Europe, gender (ideology) and Islamic terror
are not Europe
"We are here in Madrid to talk about jobs, young people,
security, the future, change (stemming) from Italy to do what
Trump is doing in the USA with our European allies". (ANSA).
