(ANSA) - Rome, September 21 - The Italian Society of
Allergology Asma and the institute of Clinical Immunology
(SIAAIC) on Monday issued guidelines designed to prevent
Italians wasting million of euros on fake allergy tests on the
market for the unwary, officials said.
As many as four million fake tests are carried out each
year, claiming to discover allergies nine times out of 10,
costing Italians in all as much as 300 million euros, according
to Asma, but have no scientific value.
