(ANSA) - Pisa, October 22 - Italian researchers have
developed new technology that can detect worn-out car tyres and
help prevent traffic accidents.
The "Smart Tyre" project by students at Pisa's Scuola
Superiore Sant'Anna was presented in Stockholm on Thursday.
The system employs innovative sensors and algorithms for
real-time analysis, collecting data on the state of wear of the
tyres.
"Thanks to this it is possible to make prevention more
effective and reduce the risk of accidents, preventing, for
example, an unexpected burst tyre," the university said in a
statement.
