(ANSA) - ROME, APR 9 - Organ donations and transplants hit
record levels in Italy last year, the National Transplant Centre
(CNT) said in its annual report Tuesday.
The most generous donors were 30-year-old Sardinians with a rate
of 84.
More than 2,000 donations were made last year, a new record, and
more than 4,000 transplants, also a new record, the report said.
The least generous age bracket across Italy was 18 to 30 years
olds, probably because they are less well informed, said the
report. (ANSA).
