(ANSA) - Rome, May 9 - Napoli won 2-1 at Torino with
Gonzalo Higuain scoring his 33rd of the season to stay two
points clear of AS Roma in the race for second spot and an
automatic Champions League place.
Francesco Totti inspired Roma to a 3-0 win over Chievo that
kept them in third, 10 points above Inter, the spot where
Italian teams have to go through the CL qualifiers.
Juventus, who have already won their fifth straight
scudetto, ended a 26-game winning streak with a 2-1 defeat at
last-placed and already relegated Verona.
Frosinone joined the Veronese in Serie B after their first
and so far only season in the top flight after a goalless draw
with Palermo.
Palermo and Carpi are vying to avoid being the third team
down.
