(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 12 - Italy claimed its first four medals
including a gold, two silvers and a bronze on the first day of
the European swimming championships in Rome.
Alberto Razzetti won the men's 400m individual medley while Pier
Andrea Matteazzi came third in the event.
The men's 4x200m freestyle medley team came second, as did the
women's synchronized swimming team in the technical event.
More medals may come Friday from Thomas Ceccon in the 50m
butterfly and Nicolò Martinenghi in the 100m breaststroke.
