(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 3 - AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli said his
side are not shy about being ambitious after they sealed a slot
in the Champions League last-16 by thrashing Salzburg 4-0 on
Wednesday.
An Olivier Giroud double and goals by Rade Krunić and Junior
Messias made sure the seven-time European champions finished
second in Group E behind Chelsea.
"Whoever we come up against will be a stimulating, difficult
opponent," Pioli said.
"But we are the champions of Italy and we must try to go as far
as possible.
"We mustn't be afraid to aim high.
"We'll see what the draw has to say.
"I have good players. Those who take us on will be up against a
Milan side that is full of desire and confident".
Juventus, meanwhile, dropped down to the Europa League despite
losing 2-1 at home to Paris Saint Germain and closing Group H
with just three points.
They finished third thanks to a superior goal difference tat
bottom side Maccabi Haifa. (ANSA).
