(ANSA) - ROME, APR 8 - Runaway leaders Napoli consolidated their position at the top of Serie A with a 2-1 win at Lecce on Friday, while Inter and champions AC Milan both dropped points by being held to draws.
Napoli, aiming for their third league title and the first since the days of Diego Maradona, prevailed thanks to a Giovanni Di Lorenzo header and an own goal by Lecce's Antonino Gallo.
They are 19 points ahead of second-placed Lazio, who entertain in-form Juventus side later on Saturday.
Milan are third with 52 points, three behind Lazio, after being held to goalless draw by Empoli at San Siro.
Inter are one point further back in fourth after their shaky form continued with a 1-1 draw at 15th-placed Salernitana.
Robin Gosens put the visitors in front on six minutes but former Inter winger Antonio Candreva earned the Salerno side a point with an equalizer in the closing stages.
Fifth-placed AS Roma, who have 50 points, can rise to third if they beat Torino away on Saturday.
The top four in Serie A qualify for the Champions League.
