(ANSA) - ROME, APR 16 - Lazio and Italy striker Ciro Immobile
suffered broken rib when his car hit a tram in Rome Sunday
morning, medical sources said.
The 33-year-old from Torre Annunziata near Naples, who was
initially reported to have been unscathed in the crash, suffered
"a distorsive trauma of the spinal column and a compound
fracture of his eleventh right rib," said a statement from
Rome's Gemelli Hospital.
Immobile is otherwise in good condition, said the urgent
medicine department of the top Roman hospital.
"The footballer remains in observation in the urgent medicine
department directed by professor Francesco Franceschi of the
Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS in Rome".
