(ANSA) - ROME, APR 24 - Turin police on Monday issued DASPO
match attendance bans against 171 Juventus fans found guilty of
aiming racist abuse at Inter's Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku
during the 1-1 Italian Cup semi-final first leg 1-1 draw at the
Allkianza Stadium in the Piedmontese capital on April 4.
Lukaku, whose one-match ban after being sent off for mouthing
'shut up' at the fans abusing him has been lifted, was subjected
to racist slurs by about 250 people, some 171 of whom have been
identified, said DIGOS security police.
Juve has successfully appealed against having the first ring of
the Curva Sud ultra end stand closed for the return match as a
result of the abuse. (ANSA).
