(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 23 - Freshly crowned US PGA champ Brooks
Koepka said Monday he would like to win a place in Team USA
against Team Europe in the Ryder Cup in Rome this autumn.
"I you come second, then first, first again, it would be really
hard not to be chosen, right? I'll do my best, I'd really like
to play the Ryder Cup in Rome and be led by Zach Johnson," said
the 33-year-old Floridina, whose third PGA title brought him up
to five majors won in his glittering career, and for the time
being dismissed criticism of his being one of the emblems of the
breakaway LIV circuit, the Arab superleague pitted against
golf's traditional circuits.
This year's Ryder Cup will be played on September 29-October 1
at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, just outside the
Italian capital. (ANSA).
