(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 18 - Disgraced paparazzo to the stars
Fabrizio Corona on Tuesday night added the names of Roma and
Italy striker Stephan El Shaarawy, Juventus and Italy defender
Federico Gatti, and Lazio and Italy defender Nicolò Casale to
four others he has already named for allegedly illegally betting
on football matches.
Turin prosecutors have not confirmed that the three are under
investigation.
Corona previously named Juventus and Italy midfielder Nicolò
Fagioli, Newcastle and Italy midfielder Sandro Tonali, Aston
Villa and Italy midfielder Niccolò Zaniolo and Roma's Poland
defender Nicola Zalewsky.
Fagioli on Tuesday plea-bargained a seven month ban and five
months of alternative sanctions including warning youngsters not
to do what he did.
Tonali was questioned by Turin prosecutors for three hours
Tuesday and his agent said he was now "playing against gambling
addiction".
Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC) President Gabriele Gravina has
said the federation will help those involved with their alleged
addiction.
