Soccer: We could have hurt Bayern even more - Lazio boss

(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 15 - Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri said his only regret was that his side did not inflict even more pain on Bayern Munich after seeing them beat the German giants 1-0 at Rome's Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
Lazio earned a memorable victory thanks to forward Ciro Immobile's penalty in the 69th minute after Bayern's Dayot Upamecano gave away the spot kick and earned himself a red card with a dangerous challenge on Gustav Isaksen.
Danish winger Isaksen failed to put away an excellent chance before the goal and Felipe Anderson and Pedro both spurned fine opportunities to double the home side's lead after it.
"In the last few minutes we made do with winning (the game), but we could have really done them some harm," Sarri told Amazon Prime.
The coach, however, also expressed satisfaction at the way his team was "applied and determined" in order to beat "a team with a turnover of 800 million euros a year.
"Tonight we took part in a party," he concluded. (ANSA).
