(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 18 - Federica Brignone came second and
Marta Bassino third in Sunday's Super-G at Crans-Montana a day
after Bassino won and Brigone came second in the downhill on the
Swiss course.
Austrian Stephanie Venier won in 1.
Next weekend there will be two more Super-Gs, a discipline in
which the race to win the year's title is still open and Italy
has Brignone in the running to win it when there are four races
left until the end of the season.
The Italian success came after the recent blow of losing 2018
downhill Olympic champion Sofia Goggia to injury after she broke
her ankle with her atop the downhill standings but set to
inevitably lose her lead. (ANSA).
