(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 19 - Igor Tudor is Lazio's new coach after
the Rome club announced on Monday that the Croatian has signed a
contract running until June 2025, with an option for an
additional season.
He replaces Maurizio Sarri, who quit following last week's 2-1
home defeat to relegation-threatened Udinese.
Sarri's assistant Giovanni Martusciello temporarily took charge
for their 3-2 win at Frosinone at the weekend, which leaves them
in ninth place in Serie A.
Former Croatia and Juventus defender Tudor is a much travelled
coach whose former sides include Hajduk Split, Galatasaray,
Udinese and Hellas Verona.
The 45-year-old's last job was at Olympique de Marseille, who he
led to a third-placed finish in the French top flight last
season. (ANSA).
