(ANSA) - ROME, APR 3 - Napoli Chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis
was questioned by criminal prosecutors in Rome on Wednesday in
relation a probe into alleged false accounting regarding the
acquisition of star Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen from Lille in
2020.
The prosecutors have requested that De Laurentiis be indicted
over allegedly inflated balance-sheet values related to the
transfer.
Napoli bought Osimhen for 70 million euros plus plus another 10
million in add-ons in July 2020.
The 25-year-old was Serie A's top scorer with 26 goals last
season as he helped the Naples side claim their first league
title in 33 years. (ANSA).
