Fagioli among Spalletti's 26 after betting ban

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 7 - Italy Luciano Spalletti has named his definitive 26-man squad for Euro 2024, with Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel, Bologna winger Riccardo Orsolini and Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci cut after being part of the preliminary roster. Juventus midfielder Nicolò Fagioli, who has recently returned to action after serving a ban for betting on matches, is among the 26.
    Reigning European champions Italy start their Euro 2024 campaign against Group B rivals Albania on June 15.
    They take on Bosnia and Herzegovina in a friendly in Empoli on Sunday after Tuesday's goalless draw with Turkey in Bologna.
