(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 11 - Italy scooped more medals at the 2024
European Athletics Championships in Rome on Monday, with Sara
Fantini winning gold in the women's hammer and Filippo Tortu
taking silver in the men's 200 metres.
The Azzurri have already registered their best ever performance
at a European championships.
Italy are currently top of the medal table with 17 medals -
eight golds, six silvers and three bronzes.
The championships end on Wednesday. (ANSA).
