Italian star, Aussie champ aims for first title after Halle win

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 28 - World no 1 and Australian Open champ Jannik Sinner is practising with Serb GOAT Novak Djokovic at centre court at Wimbledon ahead of his tilt at his first grass slam next month after recently winning his first grass ATP tourney at Halle.
    Djokovic, a seven-time Wimbledon champ and record 24 time slam winner, has still not said if he is going to compete there this year after surgery on a knee injury he sustained at the French Open, where Spain's Carlos Alcaraz beat Germany's Alexander Sverev in the final having prevailed oevr Sinner in a five set thriller in the semi.
    World number two Alcaraz, the reigning Wimbledon champ, starts as favourite to retain his title.
    Djokovic, 37, knocked South Tyrolean Sinner out in the last two years.
    Sinner said Thursday's practice session with the Serb great had gone "well". (ANSA).
