(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 2 - Empoli on Tuesday announced that
Roberto D'Aversa will be their coach for next season's Serie A
campaign after he signed a two-year contract with the Tuscan
club.
D'Aversa's last job was at Lecce, who sacked him in March after
he headbutted Hellas Verona's French forward Thomas Henry at the
end of a 1-0 home defeat.
He replaces relegation-battle specialist Davide Nicola, who kept
Empoli in the top-flight last season after taking over in
January. (ANSA).
