(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 9 - Jannik Sinner lost to Daniil Medvedev
in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon Tuesday.
The 22-year-old South Tyrolean world number one and top seed
lost in five sets to the 2021 US Open winner and world number
five of Russia, who got revenge for this year's Aussie Open
final.
Sinner, who suffered a dizzy spell in the third set, lost 6-7
6-4 7-6 2-6 6-3 in four hours.
Medvedev could play world number three and reigning Wimbledon
and French Open champ and former US champ Carlos Alcaraz of
Spain in the semis. (ANSA).
