Better to avert risk of contamination says coach

(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 7 - The Seine has been deemed OK for swimming but Italy's open-water swimmers have opted not to face possible contamination and are instead completing their training in a swimming pool at the Paris Olympics.
"We trust the organisers but it's better to avoid the risk of contamination", said open water coach and former champ Stefano Rubaudo.
Swimmers Giulia Gabbrielleschi, Ginevra Taddeucci, Domenico Acerenza and star Gregorio Paltrinieri are putting the final touches to their preparation in an Olympic pool.
Rubuado added: "the water has no taste or smell but the currents are very strong". (ANSA).
