(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 5 - World number one Jannik Sinner has
beaten former champion Daniil Medvedev at the US Open in New
York to reach the semifinals of the tournament for the first
time in his career.
The 23-year-old Italian player clinched victory in 6-2 1-6 6-1
6-4.
Sinner, who won the Australian Open in January, and Medvedev,
the fifth seed, were the only two major champions left in the
men's draw. (ANSA).
