(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 6 - Matteo Parenzan won the S6 table
tennis men's singles at the 2024 Paris Paralympics to claim
Italy's 18th gold medal of the Games on Friday.
After beating the reigning champion Ian Seidenfeld in the
semi-finals on Thursday, the 21-year-old overcame Thailand's
Rungroj Thainiyom three sets to nil (11-6, 11-6, 11-5) in the
final.
Sports Minister Andrea Abodi was among the spectators at the
South Paris Arena. (ANSA).
