(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 7 - World number one Jannik Sinner beat
Britain's Jack Draper 7-5, 7-6 (7/3), 6-2 on Friday to become
to first Italian to reach the final of the men's singles at the
US Open.
The 23-year will face American Taylor Fritz in the final as he
seeks to claim his second Grand Slam after winning this year's
Australian Open.
Although Sinner beat Draper is straight sets, the win was far
from straightforward.
He had to overcome some stiff resistance from the 25th seed in
the first two sets and also survived an injury scare after
hurting his left wrist in a fall. (ANSA).
