(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 23 - Defender Matteo Gabbia's late header earned AC Milan a 2-1 win over Serie A champions Inter on Sunday, ending a run of six defeats in the derby and easing the pressure on coach Paulo Fonseca after a shaky start to the season.
United States midfielder Christian Pulisic had given Milan an early lead only for Inter's Federico Dimarco to equalise later in the first half.
Inter are sixth and Milan are seventh, with both teams on eight points from five games, while Torino remain the surprise early leaders with 11 points after their 3-2 win at Hellas Verona on Friday.
AS Roma thumped Udinese 3-0 at home on Sunday in their first match under new coach Ivan Juric amid fan protests at the sacking of club legend Daniele De Rossi following a poor start to the campaign.
Lina Souloukou resigned as Roma CEO on Sunday after becoming the target of fan anger over the dismissal.
Artem Dovbyk, Paulo Dybala and Tommaso Baldanzi were on target to earn Roma their first win of the season.
Roma are 10th with six points while Udinese, who started the weekend top of the table, dropped to third place with 10.
