(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 8 - The 103rd edition of the Tre Valli
Varesine was annulled when riders, including three-rime Tour de
France champion Tadej Pogacar, abandoned the cycling race after
over an hour due to the heavy rain and cold temperatures.
Organizers had already postponed the beginning of the event,
which takes place ahead of the Giro di Lombardia race, due to
the soaking conditions and had shortened the route by 32
kilometres.
