(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 25 - Former Italy coach Roberto Mancini
has parted company with the Saudi Arabian national team after a
disappointing run of results.
The Saudi Football Federation said Thursday that it has reached
an agreement with the 59-year-old former Lazio, Inter and
Manchester City boss to terminate his contract three years
early.
Saudi Arabia won only seven of their 18 games under Mancini.
He controversially signed a big-money contract to take over the
Saudi national team just weeks after announcing he was quitting
as Italy coach in August 2023.
Mancini led the Azzurri to victory at Euro 2020 but they then
failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup under him. (ANSA).
