World Cup victory by winning the giant slalom at Soelden
Saturday, the first event of the season.
The 34-year-old Milanese world and Olympic champion, Italy's
first overall women's World Cup victor in 2020, recorded a time
of 2'16"06.
New Zealander Alice Robinson came second in 2'16"22 and third
surprisingly young Austrian Julia Schlein in 2'17"13.
American superstar Mikaela Shiffrin, who was in the lead after
the first run, only came fifth. (ANSA).
