(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 6 - Italy's Jasmine Paolini was knocked
out of the WTA Finals in Riyadh Wednesday losing 6-1 6-1 to
Qinwen Zheng in the last match of the purple group's round
robin.
The Chinese Olympic champ, 22, world number seven, ended up
second in the group to world number one Aryna Sabalenka of
Belarus and like her advances to the semi-finals of the
season-ending tournament.
Tuscan world number four Paolini, 28, lost to Sabalenka on
Monday after beating Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan at the
weekend. (ANSA).
