(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 6 - Ferrari's hopes of winning this year's
Formula One constructors' title suffered a huge setback on
Friday when the team was forced to change the battery on Charles
Leclerc's car, incurring a 10-place grid penalty for Sunday's
season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Monegasque driver Leclerc and his team mate Carlos Sainz need to
overturn a 21-point deficit on standings leaders McLaren to win
the constructors' title.
The penalty on a track where overtaking is not easy makes this
especially tough.
Leclerc topped the timesheets in Friday's first practice session
despite a delay in getting out on track because of the battery
problem. (ANSA).
