(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 20 - Italy's Mattia Casse clinched his
first victory in the alpine skiing World Cup Friday in the
super-G at Val Gardena.
The 34-year-old Piedmont native claimed his first gold after
three World Cup podiums, ahead of US skier Jared Goldberg by
just one second and Switzerland's reigning discipline and
overall champion Marco Odermatt, who won the super-G in Beaver
Creek.
