(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 6 - Italy's Olympic 10,000 metre silver
medallist Nadia Battocletti on Monday brought the first Azzurra
victory in the historic Campaccio cross-country race near Milan
in 31 years.
The 24-year-old from Cles in Val di Non, who recently won the
European cross-country championships, dominated the race at San
Giorgio su Legnano, leading from start to finish.
The last tricolour win in the 'classicissima' was by Silvia
Sommaggio in 1994. (ANSA).
