(ANSA) - Vatican City, July 18 - Pope Francis felt "consternation" when he heard of the news of the Malaysia Airlines flight that was shot down over conflict-hit Ukraine Thursday, a Vatican statement said Friday.
The statement added that the Argentine pontiff was praying for the victims and appealed to the parties in the conflict to "commit to finding solutions of dialogue" to achieve "peace".
