(ANSA) - Vatican City, September 18 - Pope Francis on
Thursday met two of the leading lights of the European radical
left, Alexis Tsipras of Greece and Austria's Walter Baier.
The talks with Syriza leader and opposition chief Tsipras
and Communist Party leader Baier had no "political significance"
and focused on "human and social issues" stemming from the
pair's contacts with the Italy-based Catholic activist Focolare
Movement, Vatican Spokesman Father Federico Lombardi said.
